News agencies are reporting that Donald Trump is dropping judicial appeals against the suspension of his administration’s travel ban in favour of a new executive order.
News of the administration’s backdown broke during a hastily arranged press conference in which President Trump blasted the media and vowed to crackdown on leakers.
A representative for Washington state’s attorney general did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Trump administration’s planned new executive order.
