Obtained EPA memo shows argument for Pruitt’s first-class travel

Washington (CNN) Documents provided to US Congress fail to show Scott Pruitt got federally required waivers to fly premier class — & if he did, then his office has twice declined to hand them over to fellow Republicans asking for the verification.
Instead, in response to 2 requests for the waivers, the Environmental prevention Agency provided Researchers by just 2 memos, according to the home Oversight Committee.
CNN separately obtained the memos, that state that people have recognized Pruitt & the occasional “lashing out from passengers” can “endanger his life” if he continues to fly in coach.
The limited nature of the 2 memos, along by a past appeal by his spokesman, proposes the EPA administrator violated federal rules by unsuccessful to obtain a justification for the upgrades before each trip.
The EPA has previously defended Pruitt’s travel & safety arrangements, however did not respond to questions from CNN before the publication of this story about the memos or whether Pruitt obtained the required waivers.

On Monday, he defended final May’s special travel request in an interview by the Daily Caller.
Pruitt’s travel practices have been a key focus of the numerous inquiries he currently faces — probes which span Congress, the White home & the EPA’s inspector general.
The travel memo is between the documents the EPA has turned over recently at the request of home Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.).
Last month, the Government Accountability Office concluded which Pruitt’s installation of a $43,000 soundproof phone booth had violated federal spending laws.
