Ottawa resident Ken Higgins is in town for two weeks to visit family. But he learned about the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge by chance during a call to the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce.Higgins — who was walking the wildlife refuge trails Thursday with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson — enjoyed the trek to view the area’s wildlife. But he believes North Brevard needs to find a better way to market its ecotourism attractions to the world.
